Who’s On Our Shirt? Max Robinson, Broadcast Journalist

Max Robinson may not currently be a household name but in his prime he was the man.  He is most recognized as an anchor on ABC World News Tonight and  we consider him an icon for black journalists as one of the founders of the National Association of Black Journalists.

We honor Max Robinson because upon passing, he chose to reveal AIDS as his cause of death in an effort to help others.  In a climate where HIV/AIDS victims were often judged and criticized, he built the courage to allow his death to be apart of his legacy to educate others.

Thank you, Max Robinson.  Because of you we know more.
